Adrián Felipe Calderón has been teaching for ten years and is currently a natural sciences and technology teacher at Colegio Hontanares.
While studying at university, he began to feel the need to teach in order to provide support and change people's realities.

He has progressively become involved in STEAM education and says that for several years he has been doing a job, which has given him the possibility to add to the training of his students in the area of programming.

"Today, there is a great possibility for students to experiment from different environments and platforms. This will always make them explorers. This exploration provides opportunities for us as teachers".

The teacher believes that the STEAM methodology has restructured several areas, including the labor market, so it is an important step for students to participate in a market in which they will be able to work in the future in their professional life.

Together with his students, he participated in the first Latin American programming tournament, where student Santiago Gómez Jaramillo won second place in the Phyton category. Achievement that they celebrated and enjoyed despite the distance.

Adrian, stated that the Hontanares College is prepared and with various expectations for the next programming tournament, which will be held next year.
